Words for My Enjoyment
by Paul Davidson
During a difficult time in my life, a friend thought I needed a laugh and handed me a book called "Consumer Joe." It's a hilarious collection of outrageous letters written to companies with complaints, suggestions, and questions (made even funnier by the replies that the author received back). Years later I received a comment on my blog from a Paul Davidson. When I followed the link back to his site, I discovered it was the same Paul Davidson who had written "Consumer Joe!" My amazement in finding out that an author I enjoy had commented on my blog was secondary to my amazement that the guy had his own blog where he gave away his writing for free! Words for My Enjoyment is a daily dose of humor delivered as only Pauly can, and is an absolute must-read.

Tales of a Texpatriate
by Karla
Often humorous tales from the life of a Texan living in Norway, Karla's blog is filled with the kind of entries that I wish I were clever enough to pull off. From witty observations of life in Oslo, to bizarre situations only she could encounter, Tales of a Texpatriate is an eclectic mix of fun if there ever was one (and one of the oldest links on my blogroll). As if that weren't enough, my favorite Texpatriate is a seasoned traveler who is kind enough to share travel tales with her readers. When you add it all up, it's no wonder Karla is at the top of my list of "Bloggers I Most Want to Meet in Person." In the meanwhile, I'll be content to vicariously hang out with her through her blog.
